Introduction
The Sckoon company started in 2002 with Sckoon Organics which made baby clothes out of 100% certified organic cotton. They added reusable menstrual pads in 2003, and a soft and soft chew toy in 2007. However, the Sckoon Cup wasn’t started until 2010. Since then, the Sckoon Cup has been a staple in the menstrual cup market. They are made in the USA and have been up to date with the FDA registration ever since. Who is it Meant For?
According to the Sckoon Company, the size small is meant for individuals who haven’t previously given birth vaginally.
As an individual with a medium to high cervix, I found the small Sckoon Cup easy to insert and comfortable to wear. I did, however, find that because it has a rounded base and flared rim, it migrated upward around my cervix and was hard to reach during removal.
Special Features
Capacity – The small Sckoon Cup holds a maximum capacity of 23 ml to the top of the rim. While this is not considered high capacity for a small cup, it is about the average compared to other cups on the market.
*Something to note – Because the rounded base and flared rim may cause this cup to sit higher around the cervix, the maximum capacity may be compromised.
Body – The Sckoon Cup is a shorter bell-shaped cup with a flared rim. Cups of these shapes typically migrate higher around the cervix even if it is originally inserted and placed low, to begin with.
Because this cup is shorter than the average small-sized cup, I would suggest it for users who have a medium to a low cervix or individuals who already have experience in removing short cups. If you have a medium to a high cervix, the larger size might be a better option.
Stem – The stem is a long, thin, stick that tapers to the end. It features four grip rings and is made of a solid piece of very stretchy silicone.
I found the stem soft, pliable, and comfortable. However, it was so stretchy that I could pull it outside of my body without the cup budging. I also had to be careful when I used it as there is no stopper at the tip in which my fingers could and would easily slide off.
Rim – Flared rims on cups such as the Sckoon, tend to migrate upward into the vagina fornix no matter how low you position it. This may make the cup harder to reach for individuals with a medium to high cervix.
Secondary Rim – While the Sckoon Cup doesn’t have a visible secondary rim like a majority of cups with a standard rim, it does have a slight thickening of silicone towards the upper rim for added firmness.
Grip Rings – The Sckoon Cup has a unique grip ring design at the base of the cup. Instead of complete circles or rings, the Sckoon has broken rings between a flower or petal design with the stem being at the center.
Silicone Quality – The Sckoon Cup has been kept up to date with their registration through the FDA. The quality of the silicone is excellent and should last for many years of use. Unlike many other menstrual cups, the silicone of the Sckoon has a soft gummy feeling (like a gummy candy) which makes it comfortable during insertion and use. As an individual with a medium to a high cervix, I found the large Sckoon Cup easy to insert and comfortable to wear. I did, however, find that because it has a rounded base and flared rim, it migrated upward around my cervix. Although it took a little extra effort to remove when my cervix was on the high side, I was still able to remove it without too much trouble.
If you have a high to a very high cervix, you might want to consider a cup with more length.

Alternatives to SckoonCup
Lena Cup – While the large Sckoon Cup and Lena Cup are about the same length, the small Sckoon Cup is shorter by approximately 7mm. Although it doesn’t seem like much, it could make a big difference in fit and reach. These two cups hold about the same capacity. The Sckoon Cup is softer than the Lena Original but slightly firmer than the Lena Sensitive.
Venus Cup – Need more capacity? The Venus Cup is one of the highest capacity cups on the market. Even the small size has the capacity closer to average large cups than average small cups. The Venus Cup does not have a flared rim, so if you have a very low cervix, even the small size may still be a tad too long for you. The Venus Cup is softer than the Sckoon in both sizes.

It’s a great cup to start out with but sometimes it goes up real high and it can be hard to get it out because the stem stretches so much but I don’t care I love how flexible and soft it is. If you can get it down far enough to grab it with toilet paper your fine.
Tried Sckoon cup several times along with Diva Cup and Lunette.
Sckoon cup was much softer and smaller shaped compared to Diva Cup and Lunette.
During those times, had to take Sckoon out because could still feel uncomfortable.
Keep trying out different types and maybe you will find the one – totally worth it!
Currently, using LadyCup for years and mostly forget it is there.

Truly this cup is gorgeous…I had high hopes. And I love how soft it is, but unfortunately it rode up, flipped around and made quite a bloody mess. I’ve since realized my cervix is a bit higher than I thought and this cup is just too soft. I also found the stem to be very irritating. I like that the sten flexible, but the pattern is rough.
I bought the size 2 as I am 31 with 3 vaginal births. This is my second cup. I had the keeper Mooncup for 5 years but just lost it plus it was so hard. I thought a soft cup would be luxurious. Perhaps this cup is just too soft.
I have been using menstrual cups for a long time and have used the Sckoon for a year now. I really wanted to love it. I think i actually hate it. It ALWAYS leaks, i have to wear sanitary towels with it. a few times it has actually TIPPED UPSIDE DOWN whle i’m wearing it, dumping a cup of blood out in one go into whatever i’m wearing. Suuuuper awesome! First time buying one (decided to go expensive just in case), as I’m 90% pad/10% tampon chick. I dislike tampons because of that nasty feeling when you insert/remove them. But pads are soooooo tedious and bulky, not to mention numerous… So I tried this cup. Ammaaaaaazing!!! I had no leakage at all. At first I wore liners just in case, but still nothing. During my heavier days, still impressive, but just a teeny bit of leakage after putting it in. I’m unsure if I’m just inserting it incorrectly, or if it’s just the excess “liquid” that’s impossible to remove before you pop it in – not like you can flush it out. This cup is very soft, and I wouldn’t even notice it was there if it wasn’t for the long stem which sticks out (a bit too much). Overall, super great product. Easy to clean. 100% recommend.
My first cup was the Diva and I spend 6 months and never could put it correctly always was unconfortable, the I tried the lunnete and it was a little bit firm for me I could totally feel it when was in my vagin, but the first tine with the SckoonCup was very confortable like it fit my anatomy perfectly I think is the best it its soft a quit smaller than the others I love it
This was my first menstrual cup. I am a 33 year old mother of 5 children who was looking for an alternative since I can no longer where tampons effectively. This worked great for 5 cycles. It was a learning curve but I expected that. What I did NOT expect was part way through my 6th cycle (so much for years of use!) the SckoonCup cracked where the finger grips are along the mold line. To add insult to injury, when I left a review on Amazon, the company was incredibly condescending and explained to me that the menstrual cup could be used without a stem, completely ignoring where I actually said the product broke. SO DISGUSTED!! When I corrected them, I received no further responses. This cup is very soft silicone, and I believe it is the cup’s undoing quality wise.
Love this sckoon cup!!! I’ve had many different other cups and this one is the most comfortable and softest. I’d recommend to anyone.i have the size 1 and it fits perfectly and doesn’t leak. I’d try the pads and write reviews but I find them a bit too pricy.
Very comfortable cup. My cervix sits high, so this cup was high up when I tried to remove it. The stem is of no value and it is actually better if you don’t use it to try and pull this cup out. One time of it stretching and snapping out of your fingers and you’ll know why. This is one of the few cups I don’t need to remove the stem. Removing cups has never been a problem, for me, but this cup can definitely sit high,
