Hi, I have been using a Femmecup for many many years. I want to buy a spare but i can’t find the webpage anymore. Where do you get them from these days??
as a petite girl, the diameter of the femme cup is a little too large for me. While it is easy to insert with a punchdown fold, i experienced some discomfort when removing it because of the hard rim and the large diameter of the cup. but overall speaking i’m happy with it.
I bought it in 2013 and I LOVE IT!
It went with me all around Ethiopia and Costa Rica, for long periods of time – and never let me down.
For me, that’s the perfect solution and size.
I really like this cup. I got the cheaper one that only has a one year shelf life, but it seems to work just as fine as any other cup I’ve tried. So far, all the English based cups I’ve tried have been of exceptional quality and comfort. I’d give it a full 5 stars if it had more capacity.
After my first try with the small cup it did catch everything very well .. however..
I could only wear it for 30 mins because it hurt. When i went to adjust the cup i could not easily locate the tip and i panicked. Then had to remove by sitting on bed to relax with a mirror to ensure i didnt accidentally push it further in. When it came out it cut me inside and it wasnt easy… really feel it needs a longer more reassuring removal stem… scared to try it again. If i do and my opinion changes i will re-evaluate my feedback.
I love this cup! I used the Keeper Cup for 9 years and had a load of problems with it (leaks, lasted less than 4 hours on heavy days, often felt uncomfortable and even some pain when wearing it, and serious pain when inserting and pulling out). Finally replaced it with the FemmeCup and could not be happier. No leaks, lasts a full 12 hours, I am totally unaware of it when it’s in, and it is super easy to insert and pull out – no pain whatsoever! Should have made the switch years ago, but I had no idea that the cups could feel and function so variently. So glad I went with the FemmeCup this time around. So so glad!
Well I oredered from femmecup official page and they made a mistake with my cup –never arrived— since may 3 that I ordered it. They said they would send it again but still nothing. They did refund my money as an apology but it is very upsetting to wait and wait after they said would send it throiugh a “faster more secure method” and now their ” proffessional” team of people in charge wont even answer my emails. Please do yourself a favor and buy it anywhere else. The product is amazing but the service in their official page is not what you would expect from a serious company
My first menstrual cup, and love it to bits. Will never go back to the “old time”.
First, perhaps you need a smaller size of cup (with smaller diameter – check their cup here https://menstrualcupreviews.net/basic-comparison/?diameter=DESC and compare the one you have with other models), but there is a good chance you just need learn how to break the seal (some learning curve). First you need to relax your muscles and pull down the cup as many as you can (using the stem and the tip of the cup), then, while you are grubbing the tip of the cup you just pulled, hold it with both your thumb and your middle finger, and just go further inside with your index finger and press the higher part of the cup (once the top rim start collapsing you will see the suction start breaking)…you might hear a pop sound when the seal have been removed and slowly push the cup down.
A good idea is practice on some long wine glass that fit the cup or tube…watch the two videos here – https://menstrualcupreviews.net/removal-faqs/.
If the suction is so hard even you are doing it right, a different size might be a solution for a bit less suction hardness’s.
Hope that helps! Good luck 🙂
HELP!!! I really like the idea of a menstrual cup however I seem to be having a lot of trouble with removing it. Today i had to get my mum to pull it out for me. I have difficulty because the suction is so hard that it hurts when it pulls on my cervix. Desperately need advice!!!!!!
