SheWee Full Review – Is it Worth a Go?

The SheWee has been available since 2003 and is marketed as the original female urination device. According to their website, one is sold every three minutes somewhere around the world. The SheWee is made from polypropylene, a type of plastic that can be recycled and is NATO-approved for use by women in the military. It measures about 6.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide.

Available colors include:

  • Power pink
  • Pure white
  • Pace NATO green
  • Bright blue
  • Black
  • Freedom purple
  • Desert sand
  • Aqua

They also offer the SheWee Extreme, $19.38, that includes a carrying case and an extension tube. The extension tube helps make sure that the flow is directed away from your feet. It’s appreciated by people who are wearing bulky clothes.

Also, check out the SheWee SOS Plus, $14.54, and the Little Black Bag SheWee, $10.50, which is a black SheWee that comes with a little black carrying pouch so you can tuck it discreetly into your purse.

The SheWee got its start as an item that helped outdoorsy women, like campers, cyclists and hikers, to stand up and go but has since shifted its focus onto women who don’t like using public toilets. Let’s face it, who does?

The SheWee has a liquid-repellent surface, and you should wipe with toilet paper after using it.

It worked great while practicing, even in clothes. I love the long nozzle. But once I went “live” with it and used it my dry suit it was a total soaker. I think the main problem is that I can’t pull my pants down far enough to get a tight fit while in my dry suit. As a result of two failures I’m back on the prowl.

    • Try the PStyle, it’s easier to get through layers of clothes and easier to get a good pressure seal so it doesn’t leak.
