Ziggy cup & using the toilet
I have just started using the Ziggy Cup by Intimina and believe I have inserted it correctly as there is no leakage with day-to-day tasks or sleeping. However, I’ve seen a lot of people saying that you can go to the toilet with the cup in place. I’ve attempted to urinate with the cup in a few times and always seem to get leakage at this point. After I finish urinating, I check the cup and it seems to still be in place, I have then taken it out and it barely filled though the is some fluid on the underside of the cup.
Does this sound like I may have the insertion slightly incorrect, or is this normal with the use of a ziggy cup?

It seems to be a common thing with all menstrual discs even though the Ziggy Cup has a “leak-proof double rim”. Some people say that that’s one of the reasons that they like using a menstrual disc over a menstrual cup. That it “auto empties” when they use the bathroom without removing it.
Personally, I’m not as confident. When I bear down from coughing, sneezing, laughing, carrying something heavy, I get the same “auto empty”. Sometimes it’s more of a gush than a trickle.
But if it works for you and doesn’t leak when you don’t want it to, then you’re doing fine.
