Will a menstrual cup cause any vaginal infections?
Menstrual cups are not known to cause vaginal infections, and very few users of them report any adverse effects of using them for feminine hygiene products. The grade of materials which menstrual cups are made out of our tested and approved for safety in contact with human skin and intimate uses.
If a pre-existing vaginal infection or yeast infection (candida) is occurring when the menstrual cup is being used, it is recommended to discontinue use until the infection is treated and clears up.
