why is my menstrual cup slipping when i’m pooping?
Please answer, it;s my first time using it then I tried to poop and the cup is slipping. its embarassing

First, it will take some practice inserting, positioning, and removing, a menstrual cup. Not everyone can be so lucky to get it down 100% correct the first time. So, don’t be discouraged if you need a full period or two to practice.
Make sure that you’re inserting the cup down and back towards your tailbone. Our cervix typically is not located straight up. Inserting a cup straight up can result in pushing your cervix to the side and not getting a good seal.
How to Insert & Remove a Menstrual Cup
After the cup is inserted, give the stem (or cup base) a gentle tug to see if there is any resistance. Even a slight resistance means that the cup has created a seal. If the cup slides down easily, there is no seal. In this case, you can pinch the base a couple of times or pinch and try to rotate the cup. You can also insert a single finger to swipe around the body which may spin your cup as well.
If you feel like your cup didn’t open all the way, try wiggling it down a bit and then using a single finger to push it back into place. Sometimes, the cervix is in the way of letting the rim expand which interferes with getting a good seal.
*Not all cups create a strong seal for each person. Even a slight resistance makes that the cup has created a seal.
If the cup still slides easily, it may be the wrong size for your anatomy. Either it’s too long that when you bear down your pelvic floor muscles (PFM) like when you poop, the cup dips low enough that you feel it, or it could be that the cup is too narrow that it slides past the PFM even when you contract them.
The PFM stretches like a hammock from the tailbone to the pubic bone to support your pelvic organs. A menstrual cup should rest above this.
If you can feel the cup at any other time like when you sit, cough, sneeze, laugh, or carrying something heavy, the cup is probably too long. If you didn’t already trim the stem, you can start there. Only trim a bit at a time until the cup is comfortable while still being able to reach it during removal. If you already trimmed the stem, a shorter cup or a bell-shaped cup may be more comfortable.
If the cup slides easily even after trying to get a good seal, you may want to try a cup with a wider diameter.
