What happens if i wear a menstrual cup for longer than 12 hours? Can it be used daily when I’m not on my period?

Honestly, I’ve worn my menstrual cup for longer than 24 hours on accident. It was so comfortable that I forgot about it! :O
Nothing happened, thankfully, but the contents did stink when I finally realized I had a cup in. It also got very stained.
There has been several occassions that I haven’t been able to get to a toilet to empty my cup within the 12 hours. Just make sure that you do empty it and wash it well as soon as you can.
…and, try not to make a habit of leaving it in for longer periods of time if you can help it.
It’s suggested to remove a cup at the 12-hour mark for good hygiene habits and to keep down the grown of bad bacteria – which can cause infections.
A reputable cup is safe to use even when you’re not bleeding. A lot of people use it to keep their underwear free and dry of discharge, spotting, and incontinence issues.
