What am I doing wrong?
I have bought the size A of the Organicup as my first cup ever but after infinite attempts I can’t wear it. I don’t think it opens properly or whatever happens I don’t know, it’s just that I can always slightly feel it and after some time it hurts when sitting + I have this bad sensation of burning while peeing. I thought that maybe I have a high cervix and this cup just won’t work cause I struggle a lot when putting it in and removing it. It feels like it just goes way too up there. What should I do?
Hello There!
I’m sorry that you’re having some issues with the OrganiCup. Although it has a soft body, the rim is firm and usually seems to open fairly easily.
First, make sure that you’re inserting it in the proper position. Our cervix isn’t typically located straight up. From a squatting position, the cup needs to be inserted down and back towards the tailbone.
Squatting will bring your cervix lower and give you an easier reach. When you return to an upright position, your cervix will also return to its spot taking the cup along with it.

Second, if you haven’t already, you can trim the stem down ring by ring until it feels comfortable and where you can still reach it during removal. You shouldn’t be able to feel the cup at any time.
See if this clears up any issues when sitting down or urinating. If not, you might need a cup that is overall softer than the OrganiCup. To be honest, I was surprised how firm the rim was. I was always under the impression that it was a super soft cup for some reason.
Anyhow, if the cup moves high during the day, get back in a squat to remove it. Again, this will lower your cervix (and cup) down and give you easier access and better reach. You may need to do a series of pushes to urge it down. Doing this in the tub or shower will save some clean up if you spill.
If in the end, you would rather try a different cup, I would suggest something with a round bottom for comfort at the vaginal opening, and something softer than the OrganiCup’s rim.
A couple of cups to check out is the small Venus Cup (higher capacity cups), or soft Saalt Cup.
Good Luck and let me know if you have any other questions or concerns,
