Uncomfortable during wear
I am on my second period with the diva cup size 2. I had to trim the stem and ot was poking me but I can still feel it.
Also when its inserted I get a dull stomach ache
Hi There!
Since all of the Diva Cups are the same length between the three sizes, I would suggest trying a shorter cup or a bell-shaped cup with or without a flared rim. It sounds like the Diva Cup is just too long for you.
The dull stomach ache may also be caused by some extra pressure. Something a little softer may also be a good option.
Here are a few cups that you might be interested in (in no particular order other than alphabetically):
Lena Sensitive – small or large – The sensitive version is softer than the original Lena Cup. These are bell-shaped cups with a flared rim which tend to ride up and sit higher around the cervix. It should feel more comfortable than the long Diva Cup.
Super Jennie – small – Although both sizes are shorter than the Diva Cup, I specify small but you can check out the diameter on the large and see if it sounds like a good option for you. This cup has a rounded body which will allow a higher capacity than the Lena Cup.
Venus Cup – small – I specify the small because the large Venus Cup is about the same length as the Diva Cup. This cup is shorter and has a rounded base which will be more comfortable at the vaginal opening. It will also provide a higher capacity than the Lena Cup.
Diva Cup link for reference.
Again, I’m sorry that the Diva Cup didn’t work for you but hopefully you can find something else that’s comfortable.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about the cups I mentioned.
Until then, good luck!
