Unable to insert the cup
Hi, I’m a 23 yr old virgin, and switching to a cup (small size) from pads. This is my first time using a cup. On the first two tries I wasn’t able to insert the cup fully, it felt really restrictive and hard to do so. On the third try I was only able to insert it halfway (I could see the base and the stem out), it felt really uncomfortable and I wanted to get it out immediately. Can someone please provide some tips for easier insertion? Will it always feel this discomforting?
Using a cup should never be painful during any of the processes of inserting, using, or removing it. Practice will help and so will a bit of water-based lubricate.
Depending on the cup, a small size still may be too long or wide for you if the cup continues to give you problems.
