Too big – Damaging ?
I have bought a cup and bought it travelling. I am 24 no children not a virgin. Difficult to get in and feels uncomfortable, need to be able to put up with it for this cycle. But as I googled now I realised about different sizes. I have larger one I think. I am going to now order a new one taking into account size etc but will need to use this one for this cycle, but besides the uncomfort would using this size be bad for me in any way ? I’m freaking out it will be damaging ?
Hi there!
First of all, I’m curious as to which cup you were able to purchase on your travels and where? I wish more cups were available in stores and it’s nice to hear when someone can find them.
There are a LOT of cups on the market these days in all sorts of shapes, sizes, firmness and colors. It can be overwhelming when hunting for the right one for you.
BUT, no matter what age, if you’re a virgin, were pregnant, had children…etc, you can use which ever cup size, shape or firmness that feels comfortable for you and meets your needs.
I choose cups based on reputation (if you’re comfortable with the risks of using a “cheap” cup or not), how easy they are to insert and open, how comfortable they are and how heavy or light my period normally is.
A lot of times I use a large sized cup even when I’m not bleeding. Either when I’m expecting my period, when I’m traveling (flight to my home island and to the 48 states are a minimum of 5 and a half hours), or when I’m experiencing stress incontinence (helps stop my urine leaks when I cough, sneeze, laugh or bear down in any way).
Can you tell me about the discomfort you’re experiencing? Give me as much detail as you can so I might be able to figure out the problem and suggest a cup that may work and feel for comfortable.
