Regarding the stem of the cup
Hi! This is my first time using a menstrual cup. I purchased peesafe menstrual cup -extra small size(meant for beginners). The cup base has gone in properly. I’ve checked the base for any folds, as my cup wasn’t going completely in(along with the stem). The stem sticking out is causing a little pain and discomfort. I’ve read that we can trim it, but my cup has a small bulge at the end of the stem(designed for easy location and pulling). So I’m not sure if cutting that part out will cause difficulty in pulling out the cup. What should I do?
A lot of cups don’t have that ball (or whatever the thickened shape maybe) at the end of the stem and they’re still easy to remove. It may keep your fingers from sliding off of the end, but if it’s uncomfortable you might not want to use it anyhow.
See if you can bypass the bulge and try grasping onto just the stem and see if it’s still fairly easy to remove. You may find it easier to reach higher onto the stem if you squat down.
Good Luck! <3
