On insertion the cup isn’t popping open

I just bought a soft, pliable menstrual cup in small size. I tried most of the folds for inserting it, but the cup just does not pop open on insertion. What do I do?

Hi Ritika!

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re having some troubles getting your cup to open. I used to have trouble with almost ALL soft cups, but I’ve found a way to get them open that works for me. Maybe it’ll work for you too. There are some cups that are still way too soft for me to open. The silicone is too flimsy and thin to stand any pressure. I hope you don’t have one of those 🙁 If you do, you might need to find a cup that’s a little more firm.
