Ok so here goes I have googled and watched multiple youtube reviews and informative videos but for the life of me I cannot get a menstrual cup to work for me at all, I started of with a mooncup but the sizing just wasn’t quite right, then I bought a yukki but it’s so hard to insert because its very rigid the I ordered a si-bell but that is to soft and it literally will not open inside me, the yukki does work however i have the worst need to urinate whilst walking around with it what am I doing wrong? any hints and tips appreciated as I am due to travel in three weeks and most likely to be on my period it’s a long flight so tampon is out and a pad is gonna be so messy and will leak

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having so many issues with cups 🙁
I hope that I can help you narrow down something that will work for you. It sounds like you kind of took a shot in the dark when choosing.
The MoonCup is quite small (narrow in the body) compared to most of the medium/large sized cups on the market.
Which of the Yuuki versions did you purchase? The Yuuki “Classic” is one of the firmest cups out there. They have two softer versions – “Rainbow” (softest of the Yuuki) and “Soft” which is comparable to a lot of the medium firm cups.
The Si-Bell is one of the softest cups in my collection (not including “cheapie” types).
If you purchased the Yuuki Classic, you went from one end of the firmness scale to the complete opposite.
Anyhow, since you’re travelling and don’t really have to time purchase another cup and wait for shipping, I’m hoping that you can get either of these two to work for you.
Something you can try if you’re comfortable, is to turn your Yuuki Cup inside out. That will narrow and shorten it just a bit. It will also ease some of the pressure on your bladder. Only do this if you’re comfortable retrieving your cup without a stem.
I had a lot of trouble with the Si-Bell when I first bought it as well. It took me a while to figure out which fold to use and where to allow it to open. Even after that, I still had to do some “tricks” to get it to open for me. I’m hoping that maybe this will help you too. Here’s a video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnA4iKctXp0
After you’re back at home safely, you might want to hunt for another cup that is easier for you to open and that doesn’t apply too much pressure on your sensitive bladder.
Here are some things you can think about when that time comes:
When you’re ready, I would be happy to suggest some cups for you if you need 🙂
Until then, safe travels and good luck <3
