menstrual cup slipping down throughout wear
Hello
I have been using a diva cup in the size 2.i have no problems inserting it. I even use my finger to check around the edges of the cup to make sure the cup is open properly and it seems to be. For the first 3 or 4 hours i have no problems with the cup being inserted. I have a super light flow but after about 3 or 4 hours of having the cup in it will slide down and make it very uncomfortable to sit or walk and the very end of the cup will be at the opening of my vagina, I even cut off the string to have it irritate less but this did not help. When I go to empty the cup it is not even half way full. I need some tips to getting the cup to stay in for longer periods of time. Do I need a new cup? Maybe this one doesn’t fit me right, and if so what other cup would fit me better?
Hello There!
It sounds like you have the wrong size or shape. It not making a good seal or your pelvic floor is weakened. I would suggest trying a cup with a wider diameter or a bell-shaped cup with a standard rim as opposed to a flared rim.
Since you are able to use the Diva Cup, which is normally considered a long cup, you could try almost any large-size cup in any brand. But here are some suggestions: Venus Cup, LaliCup (medium or large), Yuuki Cup, and the Saalt Cup.
Check out the “Cup Comparison Chart” to see what cup might be of interest. If you have any questions about them, I’d be happy to give you some information.
Until then, Good Luck! <3
