MC hurts while inserting because it always vacuum even if still not fully in. Is it normal?
It’s my first time to try menstrual cup. i used a cup that is for low cervix and I still don’t know if I have a low or high cervix but anyway, is it okay if the menstrual cup keeps on suctioning with many failed attempts like it always vacuum whenever I’m still inserting it and it still not fully inside me and it still not open and it only opens half way from my vaginal opening that’s where it starts vacuuming since it’s slippery so I always let the pinch part slip. And it hurts while I remove it because of its vacuum action. Is it alarming or normal for having an MC? Now my lower abdomen feels some pain but not much.
P.S. sorry for errors. English is not my first lbguage
Hello There!
You might want to try a few different folds. Some keep the cup folded up until you’re ready for it to open. They might need a little help opening after they’re inserted, but it’s better than it opening too early and creating a seal when you don’t want it to.
If the cup creates a suction during removal, you need to try to release or break it before you tug on the cup. If you don’t, it could also tug on your cervix and can cause some pain or cramping.
