Leaks even after proper insertion
After insertion of the cup, I’m able to check the suction seal and there is no fold anywhere. It feels like the cup has opened up perfectly. But still I experience leaks, a little during the day but a lot during the night. Whenever I remove the cup to empty on leakage it’s always only half full. Don’t understand what’s causing the leaks. Please help.

A lot of leaking at night with a half empty cup makes me believe that your cervix is sitting deep inside of the cup and compromising some of the capacity.
Are you using a bell-shaped cup? Does it have a flared rim? These tend to ride up and sit higher around the cervix allowing the cervix to sit deeper.
If you have a low cervix and need more capacity, there are some cups that might give you more time between emptying sessions like the Merula original.
If you have a medium to a high cervix, you can check into higher capacity cups like the Venus Cup, LaliCup, Merula XL, or the Yuuki Cup.
As for the minimal leaking during the day, after you insert your cup, squat and bear down with your muscles to bring the cup closer to the opening of your vagina. Then use a wet cloth or wipe to clean the grip rings and/or stem if you kept it intact – of any excess blood. Sometimes this residual blood will make it seem like you’re leaking as it will leave spots on your undies.
You might also want to double check the position of your cervix after inserting the cup to make sure that it didn’t push your cervix to the side. It’s a good habit to add to checking the seal and that the cup completely unfolded.
