Irregular Period
Hello, my name is Sarah and I just had a quick question. So I have had irregularly long periods since I was 12 years old due to endometriosis. I am now 22 years old and my last three periods have been abnormally short, which I am not complaining about but it seems a little strange. Is this just my period finally averaging out??
Hello Sarah!
I feel ya! I’ve never been diagnosed with endometriosis but I’ve had very irregularly long and heavy periods (with a lot of clots) since I first started my period at around 13. I’m 44 now and only within the last couple of years have they regulated and lightened up a bit (probably age and perimenopausal).
I get the occasional heavy flow where I don’t feel like I should leave the house, but it’s not as often as while I was in my teens to ’30s.
Anyhow, I’m not a doctor so I can’t say for certain that your period is finally starting to regulate. It sounds nice and all, but I would visit a clinic or GYN to make sure everything is still “normal” (for you).
Good Luck and Stay Healthy 😀
