I have tried a diva cup and a sckooncup and when I pinch or fold it to insert, I can not maintain a proper grip and the cups pop back open. This happens when I have placed it at the hole to insert but I can not keep the grip and it pops open, feels like Iv been slapped and the area stings uncomfortably. I wouldn’t say I have weak hands but can not keep this thing pinched closed.have tried 100+ times, Giving up?? How can I grip these so they don’t pop open when I try to push in???? Instructions say it should “glide” in but i feel like someone’s literally slapping me.
This sounds terrible! I commend you for trying so many times!
1. Use a water-based lubricant if you haven’t already. It should help the cup to “glide” in if your vaginal entrance is not lubricated enough. I would have to guess that you probably have anxiety trying to get the cup to work that it dries you up with the thought of it.
2. Try the two-handed method. Insert the cup with one hand and steady the base with the other. Gently push the cup in moving both of your hands at the same time.
3. Try a different fold. Some folds stay folded easier than others.
4. Hold the folded cup with your thumb and middle finger and use your pointer finger to slide the cup in. Your thumb and middle finger shouldn’t move but rest against your vaginal entrance. If you have ever used a tampon with an applicator, it’s the same motion.
Hopefully, one of these methods help.
Good Luck! <3
