Normally a menstrual cup is inserted completely into the vagina. There is nothing hanging outside your body like the string on a tampon.
It’s perfectly fine to use the bathroom while your menstrual cup is inserted. However, some people feel extra pressure when they’re having a bowel movement and feel like their cup may be pushed out. If you feel more comfortable, you can remove it but it isn’t necessary.
